Abstract
Aimedatnormalandobliquepenetrationintosemi-infiniteconcrete/limestonetargetsbya
high-speedprojectile,anaxisdragforcewasemployedtoreflectthecontinuousvariationofthenose
shape.Withconsideringthetransverseloadinthecasesofasymmetricalmassabrasionandoblique
penetration,amethodwasproposedtoanalyzetheyieldofanormally/obliqulypenetratingprojectile.
Theinitialimpactvelocitylimitwasdeducedbytakingtheprojectilestabilityintoaccountwhenthe
cartridgethicknesswasgiven,andtheinfluencesofdifferentprojectile/targetconditionswerediscussed.
