Abstract
Experimentandnumericalsimulationwereperformedbyusing1kgcylindricalaluminized
explosivecasedby6 mmthicksteelandaluminumshells,respectively.Theresultsshowthatthe
steelshellcanenhancetheimpulse,shockwaveenergyanddecaytimecomparedwiththealuminum
shell.Andtheinfluencesofthesteelshellthicknesswereanalyzed.Withtheincreaseofthethickness,
theshockwavewereenhancedandthenweaken,andtherewasalag-effectforthepeakpressure
oftheshockwave.Foragivenmassofexplosive,thereliesanoptimumshellthicknessforenhancing
theshockwavepeakpressure.Fordifferentmass,themassratioofshelltoexplosiveisanimportant
parameterforestimatingtheunderwaterexplosionofcasedexplosive.
