Abstract
Basedonthetheoryofrockblasting,theactionmechanismofexplosionstresswaveincoal
wasanalyzed.Thedamagefracturecriteriaforcoalsubjectedtoexplosionstresswavewasexplored
accordingtothedamagemechanicstheory.And,simulationexperimentswereconductedtoobtainthe
attenuationlawofexplosionstresswavepropagationincoal.Theexperimentalresultsshowthatthe
stresswaveateachmeasuredpointcontainstwoormorewaveforms,therearecompressionphaseand
tensilephaseinthefirstwave,thewaveformofwhichissimpleandsmooth,andthesecondwaveis
theresultofavarietyofaction,thewaveformofwhichiscomplex;thatthecoalmediaisfirstunder
compressivestressandthenundertensilestress,theactiontimeofthecompressivestresswasshorter
thanthatofthetensilestress;andthatthedecayrateofexplosionstresswaveincoalisfasterthanin
generalrock.Themaineffectsofexplosionstresswaveincoalconsistofformingasmallnumberof
newcrannies,activatingthenativecranny,andbreakingthebalanceofcoalgas.
